to your Canadian home stay program. We trust this will be a
life changing experience for you, and your stay in Canada will
be remembered with joy.
The home stay program is a unique opportunity for you to experience
the Canadian lifestyle, culture, and language. Your home stay
family will provide you with a room of your own with a bed,
desk, chair, lamp, dresser, and closet space. You may need
to share a bathroom with other members of the family, and the
common areas of the home. Your host family will provide you
with 3 meals a day of traditional Canadian, or there own ethnic
foods. If you have any food allergies you will need to discuss
this with your host family.
Your evenings are yours to enjoy. Visiting with  your
host family is encouraged, as your English language will improve
the most through practice. Weekends are also your own free time,
but again we would encourage you to join your host family in
their activities. Many of our host families have hosted
students before, and their experience with Canadian culture
and language will give you many opportunities to fully enjoy
what Canada has to offer. We will try to place our students
in homes with your own age group to make your stay
comfortable, and to give you the opportunity to spend your free
time with Canadian young people. For our older students.
we will find you a home that best meets your needs.
Your host family will take you to and from school stays of 3
or 4 weeks. For full time of longer than one month, you may
need to take the local transit on some days. As often as possible
your host family has been encouraged to provide you with rides
to make your stay here as enjoyable as possible. You will need
to bring your own spending money for any outside meals, or weekend
events you will go to. Your transportation for day trips will
be provided.
Cost
for Home Stay only is $725 per month (Canadian Dollars)
